About

Microsoft 365 Copilot is a tool designed to streamline and simplify employees' daily tasks within the Microsoft 365 application ecosystem, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more. Unlike standard Copilot (copilot.microsoft.com), Copilot 365 allows you to use Copilot directly in Microsoft applications. With it, for example, you can transcribe Teams meetings, write e-mails in Outlook, and perform data analysis in Excel without leaving the application. 

Copilot's goal is to make work processes faster, more efficient and more user-friendly by taking advantage of the ability of artificial intelligence to understand language and generate relevant content. This tool is aimed at both companies and individual users who want to optimize their work processes and improve the use of time. 

Word

M365 Copilot helps you write, edit and refine documents by helping you create texts using prompts, find information in files or on the web. You can also ask M365 Copilot for feedback on your texts.

Excel

M365 Copilot can solve complex computer problems in Excel, summarize data and create visuals, graphs and tables. It also helps you analyze data, find patterns and trends and explain results in a clear way.

Outlook

M365 Copilot helps you manage your mailbox and calendar, prioritize emails, compose replies, sort emails by subject and create tasks and events based on emails and calendar.

PowerPoint

M365 Copilot simplifies the creation of presentations, for example, based on a Word or PDF document. You can also design slides, add speaker notes and improve the visuals of slides.

Teams

M365 Copilot helps you create summaries of conversations, meetings and shared documents. It also helps create action plans and plans and prepare responses and strategies based on the input.

License

Starting on the 1st of March, Microsoft 365 Copilot can be ordered with a new one-year contract valid until February 28, 2026. For example, if you order a license in September 2025, you will only pay for the remaining time of the contract (6 months).

What does the M365 Copilot license include?

• The biggest difference between M365 Copilot and regular Copilot is the integration into the Microsoft 365 environment, which helps automate workflows and increase productivity.
• Access to OneDrive and SharePoint files - unlike regular Copilot, M365 Copilot can search and analyze files that have been shared with you.
• NB! The license holder can search and analyze the files and sites shared with him.
• Flexible License Management – ​​An entity can purchase a single license and change users as needed.

How to order?

• To order a license, fill out an application in the requests portal.

Price

• If you order in March, the price is €348+VAT, the fee is calculated proportionally for the remaining period, which decreases each month (for example, if you order in September, you only pay for 6 months).

The Information Technology Department reminds that as of January 10, all public SharePoint sites at the university were made private. When sharing files, please pay careful and regular attention about who can access your files and sites.

Microsoft 365 Copilot currently does not have Estonian language support, which means that most of the functionality is not usable for Estonian-speaking users.
