Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office licenses, that have been installed by the information technology office, require activation every 180 days.
Activation is done automatically, when the device is connected to the university's computer network, and thus is not applicable for desktop computers located on the university's campus.
Activation for Microsoft products is required for laptops, that are also being used off-campus and are not always connected to the university's computer network.
To activate the software, connect the device to the university's computer network. The options for doing that are:
- Connect the computer to the network using a cable;
- Connect the computer to eduroam;
- Connect the computer to the network using a VPN connection.
