Ülikooli tasemeõppes toimub õppetöö õppekavade alusel.


Õppekava on õpingute alusdokument, mis määrab kindlaks õppe üldeesmärgid, õpiväljundid, õppekava nominaalkestuse ja mahu, õppekeele, õpiväljundite saavutamiseks vajaliku(d) teise(d) keele(d), õppe alustamise tingimused, õppeainete loetelu, mahu, lühikirjeldused ning valikuvõimalused ja -tingimused, spetsialiseerumisvõimalused, õppe lõpetamise tingimused, antava akadeemilise kraadi ja väljastatavad dokumendid, antava kutse, õppekava valdkonna(d), kuhu õppekava kuulub, ning õppekava haldaja(d).

Studies in the university’s degree studies are based upon curricula.

A curriculum is the source document of studies which defines the general objectives of studies, the learning outcomes, the standard period of study and the volume, language of instruction and other language(s) necessary for achieving learning outcomes, access requirements, the list, volume and brief descriptions of courses, the options and requirements for choosing courses, options for specialisation, graduation requirements, the titles of degrees conferred and the documents issued upon graduation, the profession awarded, and the faculty (faculties) where the curriculum is placed and the manager(s) of curriculum.
