Academic calendar
The unit for calculating the time of studies at the university is the academic year with nominal beginning on 1 September and end on 31 August. The academic year is divided into two 20-week semesters. The academic year begins in the autumn semester on the Monday closest to 1 September. The dates for the beginning of the spring semester and the end of semesters are set in the academic calendar of each academic year, which is confirmed by the rector. To view the academic calendar, select Academic calendar in the SIS menu (see Figure).
You can select the academic year from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. By default, the current academic year is shown.
The calendar includes all the essential dates concerning studies in the selected academic year (see Figure).
The academic calendar shows the division of the academic year into study weeks (see Figure).
Today’s date is shown by a green rectangle (see Figure).
