In this guide you can find instructions for ordering a guest account in the UT central information system.

Ordering a guest account

If necessary, the information technology department creates a guest account for the partners and guests of the university based on the request of the head of the structural unit interested in it by the deadline indicated in it.

Submitting a request

Submitting a request takes place in the JIRA environment: Order a guest account.

Information needed to create an account

The following personal information are required to create an account:

  • name
  • personal identification number or date of birth
  • gender
  • citizenship
  • e-mail address (where to send passwords)
  • guest of which entity
  • for how long (period)

Confirmation of the head of the structural unit

The confirmation of the head of the structural unit is submitted during the JIRA ticket.

Account validity period

  • The guest account is created for a limited time, and the expiration date must be specified in the request.
  • In the case of a longer deadline, the head of the structural unit must be consulted.

Guest account access

The guest account has similar access to the regular account. The difference is with the intranet, which can only be accessed by employees of the University of Tartu.
