MaxQuant

MaxQuant is a quantitative proteomics software package designed for analyzing large mass spectrometry datasets. It includes built-in support for label-free and SILAC-based quantification, and is often paired with the Andromeda search engine.

Usage in Bioarchaeology

Used for identifying and quantifying proteins in ancient samples, often in paleoproteomic workflows involving deamidation analysis and contaminant filtering.
