Guides

Sharing calendar rights in Outlook installed on a computer.

  1. Select the calendar you want to add permissions to. NB! In the case of a room/resource calendar, you must be the owner (administrator) of this calendar to share rights.
  2. Right-click on the desired calendar and select Properties.
  3. In the window that opens, select the Permissions tab.
  4. New users can be added using the Add button. The permission level can be selected from the Permission Level drop-down menu.
Reviewer rights can be assigned to calendar viewers. For those who need to be able to write to the calendar as well, you can choose Author rights (Author can delete his own entries, but not those of others).
Editor rights can be assigned to the calendar manager.
Default user means what rights any university employee/student can see this calendar. By default, it is free/busy on all calendars, i.e. you only see busyness and no detailed content.

Sharing calendar rights from a web browser, i.e. Outlook web client.

  1. Log in from kiri.ut.ee or mail365.ut.ee.
  2. NB! If you want to share rights on a room/resource calendar that you own, you must first open this calendar by selecting Open another mailbox from the menu named your initials in the upper right corner and write the name of the desired calendar in the opened window. After doing so, the calendar will then open in a separate window.
  3. Open the calendars view. Select the desired calendar and click on the calendar with the right mouse button and select Sharing and Permissions.
  4. Choose with whom you want to share the calendar and choose the level of rights to do so. Then press Share.
NB! When sharing from web Outlook, a notification (invitation) is also sent to the person with whom the calendar is shared, and by pressing the text Accept there, this calendar is automatically added to his calendar list.
This message is not sent when sharing permissions in Outlook installed on the computer.
