Ordering a guest account
If necessary, the information technology department creates a guest account for the partners and guests of the university based on the request of the head of the structural unit interested in it by the deadline indicated in it.
Submitting a request
Submitting a request takes place in the JIRA environment: Order a guest account.
Extending a guest account's access takes place in the JIRA environment: Extension of a guest account.
Information needed to create an account
The following personal information are required to create an account:
- name
- personal identification number or date of birth
- gender
- citizenship
- e-mail address (where to send passwords)
- guest of which entity
- for how long (period)
Confirmation of the head of the structural unit
If until now it was enough to order a guest account via the IT services information portal only by choosing the name of the head of the structural unit and ticking the corresponding confirmation box, in the future every guest account request submitted through the portal must also be confirmed electronically by the head of the structural unit.
Confirmation is considered given when the head of the structural unit sends a reply to the e-mail sent to him from the information portal or confirms the request using the link in the letter.
Account validity period
- The guest account is created for a limited time, and the expiration date must be specified in the request.
- In the case of a longer deadline, the head of the structural unit must be consulted.
Guest account access
The guest account has similar access to the regular account. The difference is with the intranet, which can only be accessed by employees of the University of Tartu.
