How to close and delete an unnecessary mailing lists (SYMPA listserver)?

In this guide, you will find instructions on how to close and delete an unnecessary mailing list from the SYMPA list server.

If you want to close the list but keep the data for some time, then it is possible for the owner of the list to close the list.

1. The list can be closed from the SYMPA web interface:
   1. Select Administration.
   2. Select Close list.
   3. If necessary, the list can be restored later.

If you also wish to delete the list, please notify Arvutabi (arvutiabi@ut.ee) of this request.

Lists that have been closed for > 1 year are automatically deleted.
