In this guide, you can find information on how much space office applications take up on average.

E-mail size

The average email file size is around 75 KB. That's about 7,000 words in plain text, or about 37.5 pages.

You don't have to worry about email size if you have a huge amount of storage space or if you don't care how long your sent emails take to load. However, if you are running a business and marketing your products by sending promotional emails, larger emails will take longer to load and require more bandwidth. Therefore, if you include large graphics, your email may be deleted before the graphics are rendered.

Photo size

Image file sizes may vary depending on where you posted the photo or how you transported it.

For example, if you're taking pictures with a smartphone, it's probably around 2MB. However, if you post it and then download it from Facebook, it will end up as a 100KB file. If you save the same photo to USB, the photo will retain its original size of 2 MB.

JPG images contribute the most to page size, although they make up less than one-third of images.
