Windows

  1. Arvuti peab olema ühendatud kas juhtmega TÜ võrku, olema eduroam wifi-s või kasutama VPN ühendust.
    NB! ut-public wifi võrgus printimine ei toimi!

  2. Kui ühendus olemas, ava Run aken klahvikombinatsiooniga +R. Seejärel sisesta aadress \\printserver1.domenis.ut.ee.



  3. Juhul kui küsitakse sisselogimist tuleb sisestada TÜ kasutajatunnus kujul domenis\kasutajatunnus.
    NB!     Tuleks kindlasti valida „remember password“, vastasel juhul printimine peale arvuti taaskäivitamist ei tööta.

  4. Peale sisselogimist kuvatakse printerite loend.


  5. Turvaprinteri ühendamiseks leia loendist valik PRINTER. Tee sellel hiirega parem klõps ning vali Connect või Ühenda.


  6. Kui arvuti palub nõusolekut täiendavate driverite paigaldamiseks, vajuta Jah või Yes.
     

Windows

  1. Your computer has to be connected to the university's network using a network cable, eduroam wireless or a VPN connection.
    NB! Printing will not work when using the ut-public wireless network.

  2.  When you are connected to the university's network, open the Run window by pressing the +R keys. Enter the address \\printserver1.domenis.ut.ee.
     

  3. When prompted for a username and password, enter your university password in the following form: domenis\username.
    NB! Make sure you check the box to remember your password, otherwise printing will not work after restarting the computer.

  4. After logging in, a list of printers will be displayed. 


  5. To connect the secure printer, find the device called PRINTER. Right click on the device and choose Connect.


  6. When asked to install additional drivers for the printer, click Yes. 

Mac OS X

Automaatseadistus

  1. Laadige alla ja käivitage Mac OS X printeripaigalduspakett, mille leiate aadressilt: http://printserver.ut.ee/drivers/PS.dmg

  2. Printimisel loodud printerisse küsitakse Tartu Ülikooli kasutajatunnust ja parooli. Sisesta kasutajatunnus kujul domenis\kasutajatunnus ja parool tavapäraselt. Soovitame panna ka linnukese, et arvuti peaks parooli meeles - nii ei pea seda järgmisel printimisel uuesti sisestama.

Käsitsi seadistamine

  1. Arvuti peab olema ühendatud kas juhtmega TÜ võrku, olema eduroam wifi-s või kasutama VPN ühendust.
    NB! ut-public wifi võrgus printimine ei toimi!
     
  2. Ava ülevalt vasakust nurgast õunamenüüst System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners -> sealt lisa "+" märgiga uus printer.



  3.  Hoia all CTRL nuppu ja klikka hiirega akna ülaosa paneelile (vt noolt järgmisel pildil), sealt rippmenüüst vali "Customize Toolbar". See avab uue akna, kust pead hiirega lohistama "Advanced" nupu alumise akna ülaossa, nii et see sinna kinni naksab. Peale seda vajuta Done.


  4. Nüüd vajuta sedasama Advanced nuppu ja sealt tee järgmised muudatused:
    Type: Windows Printer via spoolss
    URL: smb://printserver.domenis.ut.ee/printer-color-ps 
    Name: UT Printer (nime võid valida ka ise)
    Use: Generic Postscript Printer
    Vajuta Add.

  5. Järgmises sätete aknas aktiveeri "Duplexer" linnuke, et saaksid kahepoolselt printida ja vajuta OK.



  6. Printimisel küsitakse Tartu Ülikooli kasutajatunnust ja parooli. Sisesta kasutajatunnus kujul domenis\kasutajatunnus ja parool tavapäraselt. Soovitame panna ka linnukese, et arvuti peaks parooli meeles - nii ei pea seda järgmisel printimisel uuesti sisestama. 
     

Mac OS X

Your computer has to be connected to the university's network using a network cable, eduroam wireless or a VPN connection.
NB! Printing will not work when using the ut-public wireless network.

Automatic configuration

  1. Download and execute the automatic configuration package from the following address: http://printserver.ut.ee/drivers/PS.dmg

  2. While printing, you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your university's username in the form of domenis\username and the password in the usual manner. Check the box if you wish the computer to remember your password - this way you will not be prompted for your credentials again.

Manual configuration

  1. Your computer has to be connected to the university's network using a network cable, eduroam wireless or a VPN connection.
    NB! Printing will not work when using the ut-public wireless network.

  2. Open the Apple menu from the top-left corner and open System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners -> click on the "+" to add a new printer 


  3. Hold down CTRL on the keyboard and click on the top panel of the window (see the arrow) and choose "Customize Toolbar". This will open a new window, where you will need to drag and drop the "Advanced" button to the top panel of the previous window. Click Done, when the button has been placed into the panel.
     
  4. Now click on Advanced and add the following settings.
    Type: Windows Printer via spoolss,
    URL: smb://printserver.domenis.ut.ee/printer-color-ps
    Name: UT Printer (or any name you choose),
    Use: Generic Postscript Printer 
    Click "Add".
     
  5. In the next window put a tick in the Duplex printing checkbox in order to print on both sides of the paper.



  6. When prompted for a username and password, enter your university password in the following form: domenis\username.
    NB! Make sure you check the box to remember your password, otherwise you will need to re-enter your credentials every time you print.

Linux

Juhendi koostamisel on kasutatud Ubuntu versiooni 16.04 LTS.

Arvuti peab olema ühendatud kas juhtmega TÜ võrku, olema eduroam wifi-s või kasutama VPN ühendust.
NB! ut-public wifi võrgus printimine ei toimi!

Automaatseadistus

  1. Laadige alla ja käivitage skript printeri paigaldamiseks.

    1. 32bit tarkvara jaoks: http://printserver.ut.ee/drivers/DEB32.sh

    2. 64bit tarkvara jaoks: http://printserver.ut.ee/drivers/DEB64.sh

  2. Printimisel loodud printerisse küsitakse Tartu Ülikooli kasutajatunnust ja parooli. Sisesta kasutajatunnus kujul domenis\kasutajatunnus ja parool tavapäraselt. Soovitame panna ka linnukese, et arvuti peaks parooli meeles - nii ei pea seda järgmisel printimisel uuesti sisestama.

Käsitsi seadistamine

  1.  Veendu, et arvutisse on paigaldatud smbclient viimane versioon. Selleks ava terminal ja sisesta sinna käsk

    sudo apt-get install smbclient
  2. Ava System Settings. Avanenud aknas otsi valik Printers ja vajuta selle peale.



  3. Avanenud aknas vajuta nupule Add.

     

  4. Vali vasakult menüüst Network Printer ja selle alamenüüst Windows Printer via SAMBA. Sisesta smb:// reale järgmine aadress: printserver1.domenis.ut.ee/printer-color-ps.
    Pane märk Set authentication details now valikule ning sisesta oma kasutajatunnus kujul domenis\kasutajatunnus ja parool tavapäraselt. Seejärel vajuta nupule Forward:



  5. Järgmises aknas ära valikud muuda. Vajuta nupule Forward.
     
     

  6. Vali driveri mudeliks PostScript ja driveriks vaikeväärtusena pakutud Generic PostScript Printer Foomatic..., Seejärel vajuta nupule Forward.


  7. Lisa linnuke valikule Duplexer ja vajuta nupule Forward.


  8. Anna printerile nimi (nt Printer) ja vajuta nupule Apply.
     

Linux

These instrcutions are based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

Automatic configuration

  1. Your computer has to be connected to the university's network using a network cable, eduroam wireless or a VPN connection.
    NB! Printing will not work when using the ut-public wireless network.

  2. To install the printer, download and execute the following script
    1. 32-bit: http://printserver.ut.ee/drivers/DEB32.sh
    2. 64-bit: http://printserver.ut.ee/drivers/DEB64.sh

  3. While printing, you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your university's username in the form of domenis\username and the password in the usual manner. Check the box if you wish the computer to remember your password - this way you will not be prompted for your credentials again.

Manual configuration

  1. Make sure the latest smbclient is installed on your computer. Open the terminal and enter the follwing command:

    sudo apt-get install smbclient
  2. Open System Settings. Find Printers from the list and click on it.



  3. Click Add.

     

  4. From the menu on the left, choose Network Printer and Windows Printer via SAMBA from the submenu.
    Enter the follwing address on the smb:// field: printserver.domenis.ut.ee/printer-color-ps.
    Set the Authentication option to Set authentication details now and enter your username as domenis\username and your password in the usual manner. Now click Forward:



  5. Do not change anything in the next window. Click Forward.
     
     

  6. Choose PostScript as the driver model and Generic PostScript Printer Foomatic... as the driver.
    Click Forward.


  7. Check the Duplexer option to enable two-sided printing and click Forward.


  8. Give the printer a name (for example Printer) and click Apply.
