NB! Already existing Thunderbird account can be set up to 2FA if You change from Thunderbird Account Settings →  Servers tab → password to OAuth2. Same is needed for Outgoing Server. 

Setting up

NB! Thunderbird version must be at least 77.  You can download latest version here.

1. Add a new account. Enter your name, e-mail address and the password for your account. Vajutage Continue.
   
2. Check that your username is correct. Click Done
    
3. Enter Your password

   

4. Your account is set up
5. Already existing Thunderbird account can be set up to 2FA if You change from Thunderbird Account Settings →  Servers tab → password to OAuth2.
