Google Workspace for Education is not yet fully implemented in University of Tartu. This means that the services are available only partially and access is restricted. Furthermore, current manuals are continously being updated and subjects to change.

How to log in with UT account

  1. Go to the webpage of a service you want to use.
  2. If you are already signed in, the webpage associated with the current account will be opened, othwerwise you will be asked to sign in.
    1. Although it is possible to be signed in with multiple accounts at the same time in the same browser (by selecting Add another account under your account icon), one must be mindful which account they are operating under. A solution here would be to log in to Chrome, therefore separating accounts, use different browsers for different accounts or open browser in Incognito, InPrivate etc. mode.
  3. In the Google sign in page you need to enter your email address as follows: name.surname@ut.ee
  4. After which you will be redirected to https://auth.ut.ee webpage where you need to enter your UT username and password
  5. After succesful authentication you will be redirected to the Google service webpage.

Starting from June 2022, it is mandatory to use two factor authentication in the University of Tartu Google Workspace. This must be configured within a week after the account has been created.
