Before calling the

helpdesk

  • Check if you are connected to the internet via Eduroam.
  • Check if the printer is powered on and connected to the power socket.
  • Check if the printer for paper.
  • Restart the printer. The easiest way to restart the printer is to unplug it from the power socket and then re-plug it.
  • Check for error indicators on the printer. The lights on the printer may indicate the reason for the printer not functioning properly. If the error indicator is lit, there might be paper jammed in the printer. Open the trays on the printer and check for jammed paper. In case of a paper jam, remove the jammed paper carefully, without ripping it.
  • If the printer is connected directly to your computer, check the connection between the printer and the computer.
  • If it is a shared printer (network printer), check if you can print from another computer. If you are able to print from another computer, restart your computer.

Call the helpesk

Helpdesk will take your calls on workdays from 08:00 to 17:00. On Fridays, the helpdesk answers your calls until 16:30.

You can also contact the helpdesk via e-mail. Send an e-mail to arvutiabi@ut.ee. Make sure you leave your name, department and contact information, in case the helpdesk needs to contact you for additional details
