  • Moodle is an environment for creating and conducting e-courses.
  • Interfaced with UT study information system ÕIS.
  • Link to lecture recording app Panopto.

Digital materials:

  • A large selection of digital content and tasks.

Access:

  • Student information synchronized with ÕIS.
  • It is possible to grant access to a guest (see additional material).

Solution

Panopto solution details:

  • Video lecture recording software panopto.ut.ee.
  • You can choose what is recorded: video camera image and audio, presentation and/or computer screen.
  • The recorded video can then be cut on the server, made private or made public on the terms you see fit.

Digital materials:

  • Video recordings, where it is possible to flexibly integrate various inputs.

Access:

  • By default limited to course participants.
  • It is possible to give access to those who know the direct link of the video (Anyone with the link).
  • It is possible to make it publicly accessible (access from the panopto.ut.ee home page without logging in, you can use search).

Solution

Big Blue Button solution details:

  • BigBlueButton is a freeware webinar system that is connected to the Moodle learning environment, but can also be used separately from the address https://button.ut.ee.

Digital materials:

  • BBB allows real-time sharing of video, audio, slides, computer screen, use of chat room, white board, survey and isolated rooms.
  • When recording a BBB session, all session activities (presentation, chat room conversation, webcam image, computer screen image, etc.) are saved.
  • Instructions for recordings:
    • Participants must be asked for permission to record!
    • It is recommended to record the lectures with Panopto, where you can better control the quality.
    • Unable to download recordings. You can download audio and webcam images, but not slides and its drawings.
    • Recordings cannot be edited/cut.
    • Recordings can be deleted.

Access:

  • Course participants can participate in the BBB session of the Moodle course.
  • The recording is also accessible from outside the Moodle course via the link.

    • The free version allows you to create videos up to 15-minutes.
