Introduction
NB! Apple iCloud Keychain password manager can only be used on Apple devices.
Apple iCloud Keychain remembers entries, auto-fills usernames and passwords in Safari and other apps, passcodes, credit card information and security codes, and Wi-Fi passwords on all Apple devices.

Recommendations
The University of Tartu recommends:
- export all passwords from web browsers before using a password manager (check Export and import passwords)
- when creating a password management software account, make sure you create a password that is sure to be remembered, but still secure (check KeePassXC Password Generator)

Setup
Mac
- Open the Apple menu → System Settings (or System Preferences).
- Click on your name, then select iCloud. In earlier versions of macOS, click on your Apple ID, then click iCloud in the sidebar.
- Turn on Password & Keychain.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
- Open Settings, click on your name and choose iCloud.
- Choose iCloud.
- Tap Passwords and Keychain.
- Turn on iCloud Keychain. You might be asked for your passcode or Apple ID password.

Mac
- Choose Apple menu→ System Settings. In macOS Monterey, choose Apple menu→ System Preferences.
- Click Passwords.
- Sign in with Touch ID, or enter your user account password.
- Select a website, then click the Show Details button . In macOS Monterey, click Edit.
- To delete a password, click Delete Password.
- To update a password, change it and then click Save.
Safari
- Open Safari.
- From the Safari menu, choose Settings (or Preferences), then click Passwords.
- Sign in with Touch ID, or enter your user account password.
- Select a website, then click Edit.
- To delete a password, click Delete Password.
- To update a password, change it and then click Save.
You can also use Siri to view your passwords by saying something like "Hey Siri, show my passwords."
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
- Open Settings, then select Passwords. In iOS 13 or earlier, select Passwords & Accounts, then tap Website & App Passwords.
- Use Face ID or Touch ID when prompted, or enter your passcode.
- To see a password or passkey, select a website or app.
- To delete a saved password or passkey, tap Delete Password or Delete Passkey.
- To update a password or passkey, tap Edit.
