Note! The Pcadmin account password expires every 90 days. If you enter an expired password, you will receive the error message "The password for this account has expired" or "Selle konto parool on aegunud", and you will need to change the password again. The password must be at least 12 characters long and contain at least one number or special character.

If you forget the local administrator account password, please contact IT Support.

Important: Never reuse an old (previously used) password under any circumstances! We strongly recommend using a unique password for each system or service. To securely manage multiple passwords, we recommend using a password manager.

  • The password must be at least 12 characters long and contain at least one number or special character.
  • We recommend avoiding special characters with diacritics (such as ä, ö, ü, õ), as you may need to use a keyboard that does not support them or uses a different keyboard layout.
  • The password must not be easily guessed using a dictionary. Therefore, it should either contain at least two different words or consist of a single word combined with at least five additional characters.
  • To make the password easier to remember, you can use a compound word made up of multiple parts that has no obvious meaning, with some parts intentionally misspelled. It is also recommended to replace some letters with numbers. For example, instead of using "windminer" as a password, you could use "WiindM1n3rr".

Start the computer. If you are already signed in with your regular user account, select Switch user. When the sign-in screen appears, select Other user.
