The University of Tartu uses a centralized network of printers, which allows the staff and students (Print In City) to use a wide range of secure printers around the university campus.

The university identification card (staff) or the national ID-card (students) is required to use the cloud printers.

Cloud printer functions:

• is equipped with a card reader for reading the university identification card or the national ID-card;
• allows printing, scanning and copying from any of the secure printers around campus;
• is connected to a computer using a printserver, not directly;
• does not print immediately, but stores the job in the server for 48 hours.
