Introduction

Users can install selected software to University computers by themselves through Software Center.

Available software are:

• Global Protect VPN
• VLC Media Player
• InfranView
• 7-Zip
• Notepad++
• PuTTY
• Panopto Recorder
• Zotero
• JASP
• Mendeley Reference Manager
• Rstudio
• R

Software installing (Software Center

)

1. In order to open the Software Center, you can use the Start menu or search::
   1. Using the Start menu:
      1. Click the Start menu icon in the bottom-left side of your screen.

      2. Type Software Center and open the application by clicking on the Software Center icon.

   2. Using Search:
      1. Type Software Center into the search bar on the bottom-left of your screen.

      2. Open the application by clicking the Software Center icon.

2. On the home page of the application,
3. Open Windows start menu or search. Write Software Center. Press Enter to open it.

4. On first screen select the software you want to install.
   As an example, we will install Notepad ++.

5. On the next screen click Install.

7. By selecting the application that you want to install, the application page opens. Press Install.

8. The installation of the application will begin.

9. Once the software is installed, When software install is done you can find it using the search.through the search.

Software uninstalling (Software Center)

1. Open the Software Center application.

2. Select the application you would like to uninstall.
   As an example, let's uninstall Notepad++.
