In this guide, you will find instructions on how to connect a cloud printer from the print server.

Most of the time, the software that comes with a print server should make the procedure simple for you. Although various server software is employed by different manufacturers, the procedure is frequently the same.

To connect a printer on MacOS and Linux devices, use the manual setting to connect the printer: Connect a cloud printer manually.

Warning

After changing your account's password, it is necessary to remove the printer from your device and add it again using the instructions displayed on this page.

  1. Your computer has to be connected to the university's network using a network cable, eduroam wireless or a VPN connection.
    NB! Printing will not work when using the ut-public wireless network.
  2. When you are connected to the university's network, open the Run window by pressing the +R keys. Enter the address:

    \\printserver2.domenis.ut.ee

  3. When prompted for credentials:

    1. User name - UT username in form of domenis\kasutajatunnus

    2. Password - UT password.

      NB! Make sure you check the box Remember my credentials, otherwise printing will not work after restarting the computer.


  4. After logging in, a list of printers will be displayed.
  5. To connect the secure printer, find the device called PRINTER. Right click on the device and choose Connect.



  6. When asked to install additional drivers for the printer, click Yes

  1. The solution requires that the operating system is up to date. In case of error messages, check for system updates.
  2. The computer must be connected to the UT network with a cable, be on the eduroam wifi or use a VPN connection.
    NB! ut-public wifi network printing will not work!
  3. Once connected, press +R to open the Run window. Then enter:

    control keymgr.dll

  4. In the opened window, select Windows Credentials and then Add a Windows credential.
  5. Fill in the fields as shown below and select OK.

    Internet or network address: printserver2.domenis.ut.ee
    User name field - UT username as domenis\kasutajatunnus
    Password field - UT password

  6. Open the Run window with +R. Then enter the address:

  7.  A list of printers is displayed.


  8. To connect the cloud printer, find the device called PRINTER. Right click on the device and choose Connect.


  9. When asked to install additional drivers for the printer, click Yes
