Introduction

Presenter view allows the lecturer to show his Powerpoint presentation in such a way that he sees basically all of his slides and possible comments on the computer monitor, while the participants see only the active slide on the big screen. This is a good additional option, but it has caused confusion among some lecturers.
The presenter view requires the possibility of sharing the video image (Extend) on two screens - this is only possible if the computer has 2 video outputs, one of which is connected to a monitor (PC screen), the other - to either a projector or another monitor (Second screen).

  • These choices are computer-specific - if one user has made a choice and left it, it will remain the same for the next one, no matter what username he logs into the given computer. A sure option for everyone is Duplicate.

  • The Powerpoint Slide Show menu should have the following options:
    Monitor: Automatic.
    Use Presenter View: activated.
  • If the screens are accidentally switched to the Extend view, they can be quickly switched in the Slide Show mode by pressing the Swap Presenter View and Slide Show button. Or even go to the Duplicate Slide Show view, where the same image is displayed on both screens.

  • So - feel free to use the F5 and Esc keys and the Win+P key combination during presentations.
